Married her cousin ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib in 2 AH / 624 CE in Medina. Mother of al-Ḥasan, al-Ḥusayn, Zaynab, and Umm Kulthūm. The Prophet ﷺ said of her: "Fāṭima is part of me; whoever angers her angers me." Survived her father by only six months — she died in 11 AH, having grieved him intensely. Buried in al-Baqīʿ.
