Shortening the Prayer· كتاب قصر الصلاة فى السفر
muwatta_malik:414وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ لَمْ يَرَ بِهِ بَأْسًا أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ أَأُصَلِّي فِي عَطَنِ الإِبِلِ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ لاَ وَلَكِنْ صَلِّ فِي مُرَاحِ الْغَنَمِ .
Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father that one of the muhajirun in whom he saw no harm asked Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As, "Can I pray in a place where camels are watered?" Abdullah replied, "No, but you can pray in a sheep-pen."
