Ahmad ibn Shu'ayb al-Nasa'i was a prominent 9th-century Islamic scholar and hadith collector from Nasa in Khurasan, known for his rigorous criteria in hadith authentication.

Ahmad ibn Shu'ayb al-Nasa'i belonged to the region of Nasa in Khurasan during the Islamic Golden Age. He was a distinguished hadith scholar who compiled one of the six canonical Sunni hadith collections, known as Sunan al-Nasa'i or al-Sunan al-Sughra. His work is highly regarded for its strict standards of authenticity and has been influential in Sunni Islamic jurisprudence. Al-Nasa'i travelled extensively to collect hadiths and contributed significantly to the preservation and transmission of prophetic traditions. His scholarship placed him among the foremost muhaddithin of his era. He died in the 9th century, leaving a lasting legacy in Islamic sciences.
