musnad_ahmad:443حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو صَخْرَةَ، جَامِعُ بْنُ شَدَّادٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ حُمْرَانَ بْنَ أَبَانَ، يُحَدِّثُ أَبَا بُرْدَةَ فِي مَسْجِدِ الْبَصْرَةِ وَأَنَا قَائِمٌ، مَعَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ أَتَمَّ الْوُضُوءَ كَمَا أَمَرَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَالصَّلَوَاتُ الْخَمْسُ كَفَّارَةٌ لِمَا بَيْنَهُنَّ.
I heard Humran bin Aban tell Abu Burdah in the mosque of Basrah, when I was standing next to him, that he heard `Uthman bin `Affan (رضي الله عنه) narrating from the Prophet (ﷺ) that he said: `Whoever does wudoo’ properly as enjoined by Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, the five prayers will be an expiation for whatever comes in between them.`
