Musnad `Umar b. al-Khattab (ra)· مُسْنَدِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
musnad_ahmad:364حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا رَبَاحُ بْنُ أَبِي مَعْرُوفٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ قَالَ لِي عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ لَيُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ أَهْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ.
`Umar (رضي الله عنه) said to me: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: “The deceased is tormented because of the weeping of his family over him.`
