Musnad `Umar b. al-Khattab (ra)· مُسْنَدِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
musnad_ahmad:325حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي هُشَيْمٌ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عُتَيْبَةَ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، أَنَّ عُمَرَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ هِيَ سُنَّةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعْنِي الْمُتْعَةَ وَلَكِنِّي أَخْشَى أَنْ يُعَرِّسُوا بِهِنَّ تَحْتَ الْأَرَاكِ ثُمَّ يَرُوحُوا بِهِنَّ حُجَّاجًا.
It was the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), i.e., tamattu` (in Hajj), but I am afraid that they will have intimate relations with them (their wives) beneath the Arak trees, then they will bring them for Hajj.
