Musnad `Umar b. al-Khattab (ra)· مُسْنَدِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
musnad_ahmad:153حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ، قَالَ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَلْتَوِي مَا يَجِدُ مَا يَمْلَأُ بِهِ بَطْنَهُ مِنْ الدَّقَلِ.
I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ feeling the pain of hunger and not being able to find enough to fill his stomach of inferior quality dates.
