mishkat_al_masabih:4192وَعَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ أُمِّهِ قَالَتْ: دَخَلَتْ حَفْصَةُ بِنْتُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ وَعَلَيْهَا خِمَارٌ رَقِيقٌ فَشَقَّتْهُ عَائِشَةُ وَكَسَتْهَا خمارا كثيفا. رَوَاهُ مَالك
‘Alqama b. Abu ‘Alqama quoted his mother as saying that when Hafsa daughter of ‘Abd ar-Rahman visited ‘A’isha wearing a thin veil, ‘A’isha tore it and put a thick veil on her. Malik transmitted it.
