mishkat_al_masabih:3532وَعَنْ عَائِذِ بْنِ عَمْرٌو قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِنَّ شرَّ الرعاءِ الحُطَمَة» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
‘A’idh b. ‘Amr told that he heard God’s Messenger say, “The worst shepherds are those who are ungentle.” Muslim transmitted it.
