mishkat_al_masabih:28وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ أَحَبَّ لِلَّهِ وَأَبْغَضَ لِلَّهِ وَأَعْطَى لِلَّهِ وَمَنَعَ لِلَّهِ فَقَدِ اسْتكْمل الْإِيمَان» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ مَعَ تَقْدِيمٍ وَتَأْخِير وَفِيه: «فقد اسْتكْمل إيمَانه»
Abu Umama reported that God’s messenger said, “If anyone loves for God’s sake, hates for God’s sake, gives for God’s sake and withholds for God's sake, he will have perfected faith.” Abu Dawud transmitted it; and Tirmidhi transmitted it from Mu'adh b. Anas with a transposition of phrases, including “he will have perfected his faith.”
