mishkat_al_masabih:2474وَعَنْ قُدَامَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْعَى بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ عَلَى بَعِيرٍ لَا ضرب وَلَا طرد وَلَا إِلَيْك. رَوَاهُ فِي شرح السّنة
Qudama b. ‘Abdallah b. 'Ammar said that he saw God’s messenger running between as-Safa and al-Marwa on a camel without striking it, or driving people away, or telling them to move aside. It is transmitted in Sharh as-sunna.
