mishkat_al_masabih:2419وَعَنْ أَبِي رَزِينٍ الْعُقَيْلِيِّ أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أَبِي شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ الْحَجَّ وَلَا الْعُمْرَةَ وَلَا الظَّعْنَ قَالَ: «حُجَّ عَنْ أَبِيكَ وَاعْتَمِرْ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ وَالنَّسَائِيُّ وَقَالَ التِّرْمِذِيُّ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
Abu Razln al-‘Uqaili told that he went to the Prophet and said, “Messenger of God, my father is a very old man who is unable to perform the hajj and the ‘umra, or to ride." He replied, “Perform them both on behalf of your father." Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud and Nasa’i transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a hasan sahih tradition.
أتى النبي فقال يا رسول الله إن أبي شيخ كبير لا يستطيع الحج ولا العمرة ولا الظعن
