mishkat_al_masabih:1820وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ الصَّدَقَةَ لَتُطْفِئُ غَضَبَ الرَّبِّ وَتَدْفَعُ مِيتَةَ السَّوْءِ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ
Anas reported God’s messenger as saying, “Sadaqa appeases the Lord’s anger and averts an evil death." Tirmidhi transmitted it.
