Supplication· كتاب الدعاء
al_adab_al_mufrad:723حَدَّثَنَا مُعَلَّى بْنُ أَسَدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَطَرٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ سَالِمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا سَمِعَ الرَّعْدَ وَالصَّوَاعِقَ قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ لاَ تَقْتُلْنَا بِصَعْقِكَ، وَلاَ تُهْلِكْنَا بِعَذَابِكَ، وَعَافِنَا قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ.
“O Allah, slay us not with your lightening and destroy us not with your punishment. But, preserve us before that.”
