al_adab_al_mufrad:536حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، وَابْنُ يُوسُفَ، قَالاَ: حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ الْهَادِ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو مَوْلَى الْمُطَّلِبِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ: قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: إِذَا ابْتَلَيْتُهُ بِحَبِيبَتَيْهِ، يُرِيدُ عَيْنَيْهِ، ثُمَّ صَبَرَ عَوَّضْتُهُ الْجَنَّةَ.
Anas said, "I heard the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say that Allah Almighty said, 'When I test him in his two precious ones (i.e. his eyes) and he is steadfast, I will repay him with the Garden.'"
